    Mike Smith has been a practitioner of Ásatrú (a form of Norse Polytheism) and Northern European-based magical study in the Northeast USA for over 30 years. He refers to his craft as "Ritual Esoteric Runic Art" as it involves not just the art itself, but also the in-depth meditative, runic vocalization, and ritual preparation he conducts prior to creating. Putting himself, often times, into a different state his artwork greatly reflects this otherworldliness.
