The Hazards, Coles Bay, Freycinet National Park, Tasmania, Australia. Sunset.
The Hazards are named after local whaler, Captain Richard Hazard. At first I thought they where just hazardous and where dangerous to climb. Actually, they are dangerous (hazardous) when wet, the granite becomes very slippery. The peaks are climbable, the view amazing. Next time.
Freycinet National Park, is on Tasmania’s East coast. As you approach the peninsular you are greeted by granite mountains (The Hazards) surrounded by azure bays and white sandy beaches. Orange Lichen covers the granite rocks at sea level.
