Artist's Description

Loch Goilhead, Argyl Forest Park, Scotland.

This I consider my other one in a million shot.
Taken 8 years ago while I was working in a pub (The Shorehouse Inn), in the middle of nowhere, beside a loch, in Scotland.
It was late in the night, we were all in the pub after a hot summers day. Then there was flash and a clap of thunder. All the locals said they had never seen such a storm. I decided to walk out onto the front lawn with my camera, tripod, umbrella, and of course my whiskey.
I took 3 shots, this was the last one. When I saw it flash I knew I got it. I could nt believe my luck, right in the middle of the Loch, and massive.
It took me 2 weeks to develop the film. Being in the middle of nowhere I had to take a bus and a train to get into Glasgow, drop off the film and pick it up the next week.
Slide Film, Fuji Velvia 100 – Canon AE1, 28mm lens.

Thank you for all your comments, they are very much appreciated
