Artist's Description

It may not show up in the thumbnail but the end of this portion of the small green spider flower has a heart shape .. two of them !

I was thinking the plant looked a bit sparse & boring & was considering giving it away or ditching it when I noticed it had flowers. Being the same colour as the leafs they are not so obvious.
Then I noticed the tiny yellow pattern on the end. It wasn’t till I put the photos up on the computer that I saw the tiny heart shape.

The heart shape is less than a millimetre across.

The moral might be that something that looks boring & not so great has a little love to give !!

This is the Grevillea Mucronulata photographed with a Canon 400D in Sydney, Australia.

This plant was discovered by Sir Joseph Banks at Botany Bay on his voyage to Australia with Captain James Cook in 1770 & is found only in a small area close to Sydney.

Features
Fabulous Flowers, July 2013.
Grevilleas, Dec 2013.
