Contemporary Woman

Selling thoughts of sex yet not realising
Just following the fashion of today
Demeaning themselves for a stray glance
Of men who to them, mean nothing at all

Are they that shallow, that they rely on their body?
Just to find love in the world today
The more you want something, the easier you make it
But they miss the true meaning
Of what they’re searching for

Love has been dictated by what they watch on television
Following interpretations, so as not to think
Blinded by perceptions they long to believe
Will lead them to, the happiness they desire

What price shall they pay for their so called happiness
Selling their soul for the times of today
Ignorance runs rampant in a time of distractions
Created by their forefathers in a time of no vision

The mould has been set but can it be broken?
The end product is almost complete
Very soon the sculptor shall reveal his face
To the disgust of all who have followed his ways
