Artist's Description

This is intended to make us all aware of the poverty around us. We know its there, but sometimes, including myself, we look the other way. We don’t know what will happen to us, just as this women, I’m sure had no idea what happened to her. When I shot this it made me thankful for the family and friends that I have. I’m blessed to be married to a wonderful, loving, caring, giving, passionate man. If this provokes you to say a prayer for her and those who are less fortunate than ourselves, then I have accomplished something. I do not intend to hurt anyone with this photo, but was just so struck with sadness when I saw her. I hope she has found shelter as the winter here in NY has decended upon us. I hope you see what I see in this, just how lucky we are to have what we have. Cherish your family, friends and loved ones daily. Thank you for looking and commenting. Again, I meant no offence to anyone with this image.
