No amount of anything
Is worth this moment
And the immense peace
That just this fleeting moment of solitude
Can bring to my life
No day spa in the world
Can match the healing power
And the relaxing calm
That enters the soul
It is perfect
The smell of the damp salt air
The blue, blue skies
The sounds of the sea
As it crashes against the rocks
Then retreats to a place
Where it is reenergized
And rolls back toward the land
With a newfound power
These moments are priceless
And all too few
But how wonderful it is
What a welcome change from life
What a privilege
To be able to sit here
Bask in the warm afternoon sunlight
And breathe the summer in deep
Feeling the cleansing power
Of the coast
Where breathing becomes
An exercise in spirituality
