Artist's Description

The Little Wattlebird (Anthochaera chrysoptera) is a type of honeyeater native mainly to the south eastern coastal areas of Australia. It prefers dry shrubby habitats such as banksia heaths, woodlands, and urban areas where it uses it long brush-tipped tongue to feed on the nectar of grevilleas, banksias and other flowering native shrubs. It tends to remain in the same area and i famous for early morning bird songs.
