Mosquitos

She called the other day.
She does that sometimes
Asks about my life
Tells me about hers

But I don’t care

I feign interest
It did all matter once…

Once…
When the sun set alight the fire in her hair
When golden flecks of dusts danced upon her skin
… When I was her only sin

And she was mine.
