Her Desires

It happened again this morning.
It’s a sad thing really
You tell her time and time again
Not to do it
But after that
There is nothing
You can do about it
Yes you, like most other kids
Did it once
But it stopped in time
And your desires changed

I grew out of it myself
Bad habits are hard to stop,
I know
But what if she never stops?
30 years later
You’ll have to visit her
In jail
And think, it all started out
With greed
For a sucker at the corner store.
This morning it happened again.
