Artist's Description

This is “Miss Kitty”, my rescued kitty, and mother of two, so far. It was taken right before the sunset began, when the sun was beginning to change the color of the sky. I always thought she was beautiful, and that I was very lucky this little lady was up in a tree on the property, meowing pitifully before we managed to get her down and take her into the house. She’s been a great model for me, when I can catch her holding still.
She is notarious about killing birds, I am sad to admit. My husband has witnessed her catching a dove that swooped down to about four foot over the ground, and she leaped and caught it. This habit, or trend, or whatever it should be called, has become very obvious in the number of feathers that appear scattered in our yard. I have moved bird feeders to areas she does not go into, but I am not sure she will stay away from those areas as well these days…
This was taken at dusk, and the pink tint you see on her right side is the pink light from the sun going down…
