Spirit Renewed

Winter chills me to the bone
While summer heats beyond compare
Springtime keeps me far from home
While fall so leaves me lying there

Beneath the ground of fallen leaves
That now lay dormant, tones of brown
I stand, no, seasons death to me
As my body feeds unto the ground

My lifeless form, to earth so be
While spirit flies then wild and free

From dirt below, once skin and bone
Is broken down, now of the earth
Releasing well, my spirit, flown
Rejoicing in my souls rebirth

To fly so free, unto the blue
Ent’ring heaven with wings of white
A dream in life that now came true
Providing peace and pure delight

Sad? Oh no, this cannot be
Though my body’s gone, my soul is free

Artist's Description

I am still trying to deal with my mother’s deteriorating condition and the fact that she no longer occupies her body. I can only imagine the happiness and peace experienced to hover above and then fly into heaven.
