A Ford Cortina’s last stand. This a popular landmark near Blackbutt in Queensland. It is a great Aussie tradition to put strange things up into trees. I have seen several cars up in trees during my travels in Australia, one was put there by a flood! Cars aren’t the only odd thing you’ll see up in trees, Russell Drysdale’s ‘Man feeding the dogs’ is one example, in this painting Drysdale has a chair up in the tree. So next time you are in the Bush, look up a bit more, you may be standing under a ‘Loading Zone’
