This is one of a series of cat paintings called “WHAT cats”. Take a look at one of them, and you’ll see why.

These cats are all doing something WRONG! The way we – humans – see it. But to these cats it’s just CAT STUFF! They are just doing WHAT CATS DO! That’s all! So when reprimanded, their sole response is: “WHAT?” They are truly stupefied and dumbstruck AND somewhat indignant at the insinuation that they are doing anything WRONG.

Don’t ask me what inspired me to do these paintings. I promised my two cats that I wouldn’t tell!
