PAINTERS IN MODERN TIMES – WHAT’S NEW

21st August, 2008

PAINTERS IN MODERN TIMES HITS THE HOMEPAGE!

A fantastic recognition by redbubble of our members work. Eight of the top ten entries to the challenge Animals within a Landscape were rewarded by having their entries appear on the homepage, and what a great looking homepage it is!!

Hopefully the other challenges may follow, fingers crossed!

Expressive Romanticism

PLEASE REMEMBER THAT YOU MUST CHOOSE TO VOTE FOR THE ENTRY ON VIEWING THE FIRST TIME AS YOU CAN’T REVIEW THE IMAGES FOR VOTING LATER

STOP PRESS INFORMATION JUST TO HAND

There’s a new Challenge Voting Interface. We’re getting closer and closer! It looks much nicer with animations and all that, but I think the most important change is that you can now go backwards and forwards through all the entries (the number one request!) and change your votes (you can remove a vote). We’re going to be doing a little bit more work refining this over the next week or two, then we’ll be opening up the challenge stuff to all groups.

SNEAKY WARNING OF AN UPCOMING CHALLENGE

Coming in the near future we will run a “Speed Challenge” the idea here being to challenge painters to come up with something as quickly as possible. It can be a great way to break out of old habits and one’s “comfort zone” and try something new and expressive really quickly. We will announce the theme when we launch the challenge and will only be accepting new work.
