Invent a Life...

When I was born I was a king,
but years from now I’d know the sting
of being born a human being
and all that this would mean.

For as a child I could just stare
out of a window-then from thin air
dream of a place I knew not where,
invent a life of not a care.

But as I grew so did doubt
about what this life was about,
I found myself entangled in
descending never ending spin.

And now as I look back on life,
at all the turmoil and the strife,
I realise now that at the helm,
of this life my chosen realm,

It had been me there all this time
My destiny was mine, WAS MINE.
