First day, and trying to settle her down. She is 19 years old, and a beautiful, cuddly Moluccan cockatoo.
Today is full day three. We had a lot of cuddling and shoulder time today. This evening she asked me to hold her. She talks and laughs. But she’s missing her “other mother”. It’ll take a month or so. We are, however, making great progress.
Margaret the Goffin is hideously angry. I think Ashley, my African grey wants to be Cassie’s friend. It would be great if they would bond and I could put them together for company. One on each shoulder – how cool!

Awww! Such a sweetie! I hope Cassie and Ashley become fast friends soon. And I hope Margaret comes around. What is the life span of a Cockatoo? 19 sounds like a nice, ripe age. She looks like she’s just a young girl from this capture! xo Beautiful! Thank you for submitting this to the Rescued Pets Group. ~Terri
Lifespan of a Moluccan is 65 or more years. She will outlive me. That’s the downside to owning parrots. You have to provide for their futures.
