Doonside, Australia

I am now retired at the early age of 57, this is NOT because I’m so rich that I could afford to do so, but rather because of...

My name is Max Watson. I am a disabled bloke who has been “into” photography since around 1960. I was frustrated with a cheap point and shoot digital camera, but have recently been able to get a much better camera & so hope to produce some better work. I struggle to get out and about but happy to join photographic outings with patient people.

I’m old fashioned in that I still believe that the art should be in the camera… composition, exposure, etc. but I also accept that today the computer IS the darkroom… but I keep that to a minimum, working on the KISS principle.

Having only one hand (that works) I have a lot of difficulty in using an SLR easily so I went for a Fuji S5800 & very recently upgraded to a Canon 450D DSLR.

I have to wait until tomorrow to call the Trading Post etc. The Police said they can’t help. This was all our money. I feel so alone and distraught over this. / Monday 1pm have spent all morning making calls to ASIC, ACCC, Trad…
