The Relentless March

The things you lose,
the people you cherish.
The rivers you start,
mountains you move.
it never seems enough…

Like a river’s relentless march,
these things pass you by.
Cry not for what you have lost,
and what will never be gained.
But weep for the joys unending;
the love that remained.

The stronger you become,
the further things seem.
What once was an experience,
leaves now a lesson.
Only through acceptance
of life’s faults,
Can you hope to grow
into your strengths.

Those sad occasions,
in which your flowers die.
Must be met with
a sparkle in the eye’s eye;

This is what guides your Way.
