Artist's Description

Gallon House covered Bridge is located near Mt. Angel, Oregon. It gets it’s name from it’s use as a way-point for running home brew from Mt. Angel, a “wet” town, to Silverton, a “dry” town in the early days. Liquor was sold only in gallon jugs, hence the name.
World Guide Number 37-24-01 Howe type bridge built in 1916, spans Abiqua Creek.
