Light Vision

I was surrounded by darkness until a sliver of light,
Expanded before my view…
Tearing apart the darkness,
As though it were tearing a single garment,
Into two.

As the light continued to expand,
All darkness faded away…
There was no shadow to be found,
Nor was there a hint of gray.

And behold, there appeared a threshold suspended as it were,
In what was now an endless expanse of light…
And there in the center of the threshold,
Was the silhouette of one whose appearance was more radiant,
Than that of the purest white.

It was instantaneous, the twinkling of an eye, it happened that fast…
From mortality too eternity, I heard in my spirit,
Thus shall the spirit of all men pass!
