Heirs Apparent

Though I can see and sense His love and presence everywhere…
And there’s that burning within my heart,
That His passion must be declared,
I’m bewildered by those that apparently,
Have no words of their own to share?

No words of praise no words of love and devotion…
No words of intimate times of heart felt emotions,
Just a passive indifference,
As if God Himself is little more than a pleasant notion.

Sometimes the isolation I sense is far beyond belief…
As though inspiration and faith itself,
Has been suddenly snatched by an unknown thief.

As is written “the mouth speaks out of that which fills the heart.”
Therefore it would seem faith without a good report…
Is little more than a faith of sorts?

We are children of the most high God,
Let us therefore not be deaf and dumb…
But let each of us rejoice as heirs apparent,
Of His promised kingdom come!

Inspired by the book of James Chapter two verse five.

Artist's Description

I was reminded of all the believers I know that have encouraged me with their personal testimonies and how we have exchanged such intimate times of fellowship in the Lord. This as compares to the time I’ve spent with believers that don’t so much as mention the Lord and or His doings in their lives. I find it very sad that the latter far exceed the former.
