Painted on the top of a wooden desk, (a copy of a Colonial style desk with a flip top.) The desk was made over 30 years ago by my husband but painted recently in a naive style.
Thank you Chris. I had wanted to sail as a youngster and my Dad was going to buy me one of those Sunfish, but he died that summer, and it never came to pass. Still, I was very lucky to have spent some time cruising!
Alas ! My mother has kept a drawing I made as a child of a chicken….hmmmm, it had four legs, and I’m still being heavily bullied about it today :-)))) No wonder ! :-)

congrats on this invitation….it’s fantastic!
Thank you. I think so too! I love boats. My Dad had one or more always, and we became accustomed to weekending on them. It was fun for the family.
Great picture of the ship. I really like it.

Ha ha ha! But surely you have seen Dali’s works? Melting clocks and such. There is a hat for every head, and a place for every artist! XX

Thank you much, Heloisa!
Lovely painting. It reminds me of the work of Alfred Wallis. Great colours.
I just looked at his work and like it so thank you very much! I love the old
simple paintings. Something so homey about them!
