Artist's Description

The Four Courts, main office of the Republic’s judicial system, was built between 1786 and 1796. it’s an impressive domed court sitting on Inns Quay. The building (and 1,000 years of documents) were damaged in the Irish war for independence. Though the records were lost, the framework of the building remained. The exterior was restored and the interior was redesigned to fit modern needs.
