Known to many visitors as The Wedding Cake, this incredible structure is actually loathed by some of Rome’s citizens who call it instead The Typewriter. There are a variety of reasons it’s not embraced but I personally loved the incredible style of this monument to Victor Emmanuel, the first king of a unified Italy.

Or the ‘Wedding Cake’ as the locals call it! I visited the eternal city in 2003 – with my first digital camera!
Intersting to see you’ve used dark sombre colours here. As this monument is so gleaming white in the sun.
You’ve created an interesting atmosphere here in b&w. Imaginative and intersting, with the strong dark tones.
