Artist's Description

One morning I found an abandoned bicycle in a lane on the way to the station, I carried it into town on the train in it’s unrideable condition with the idea of handing it to the White Bike Project. Instead, I hung on to it and fixed it to be sort of semi-rideable, it just needed a spanner. Latter I chained it up overnight in East Maitland, when I returned this is what it’s wheels looked like. The bike now has new wheels while these ones are now flattened and have canvases with acrylic paintings stretched on them. They stayed wrecked long enough for this photo which is number six of six in my Memory project. Taken on a Mamiya C220 using Ilford XP2.

(I also now have a second bike which I actually ride.)
