There is a spot in my front yard where each year I notice the Chinese Pear trees losing their leaves. It has become kind of an informal milestone in my year and tells me the colder weather is here to stay.
It’s always kind of sad to see these otherwise lush trees lose their leaves, but it’s worth it for the fantastic colours they produce and the knowledge that natures cycle has begun once again.
Shot using high dynamic range (HDR) technique with an 53mm focal length, f5.6 via three auto-bracketed exposures +/- 2EV and ISO-100 on a tripod. Tone mapped using Photomatix
An old camera style mask and scratch brush was then added in photoshop.
