Here we see a double blue door (actually, it might be a double double blue door where the upper half can be opened independently from the lower half), set in a very green, almost aqua wall.

Completely according to the principles of wall painting in India set out in my Painting lessons – 1. The wall is all the wall has been painted after the door frame, with green paint spilling over onto the frame so it has a lovely blue-to-green gradient.

One door is covered with gauze so you can open the door to let a breeze in when it’s hot, without letting any insects in – the way it’s fastened is reminiscent of what I saw in Uzbekistan
