I went for another market photoshoot yesterday (2010-03-06) but the market I’d chosen turned out to be practically empty when I arrived, and what little there was was in the shade. So I decided to walk to another, nearby market, and on the way there started something I’d been planning for a long time: details of the beautiful brickwork you can find all around in Amsterdam. So here’s the start of a new series, celebrating (mostly) the Amsterdamse school and brick architecture inspired by it, but close up!
We start with a detail of the “corner” if you can call it that) of a shop window. The shop (no longer a shop) is on the corner of the Lumeijstraat and the M. Harpertz. Trompstraat.
