Early this morning
Before the worm has awaken
I lay by my window
Fogged glass —glittered with raindrops
Trees hidden behind lost clouds
Rolling across the grass
Leaving with it the dew

The wooden floor, almost frozen
Stepping lightly, so not to disturb
The sleeping babes tuck in so warm
Dreams floating like the morning fog
As I walk down the hall

Running the water for the bath
Like petals on a dying rose
My slip falls
Steam rising painting the glass
The mirror veiled
