Inception

characterized by a ridiculously happy face, she went borrowing whatever objects she lacked. and one late morning as the sun turned up, she thought she’d heard a calling, but when she left the noisy street and wandered round the corner, she found him sitting on the curb singing to the drain.

what are you doing she asked him once, curious and still alarmed.
i am singing, you crazy witch, go away!
stay there out of here!

he shouted with a vivid face, without the courtesy or the con.
he said what he had to say without interrupting much of his song and she seemed to have forgotten that she thought previously someone had been calling.

the song was not complex and yet no one could remember much of what he sang.

they tranced.

some words came back to her as she found she’d gone back up the noisy street.

hey, hey, porkpie wearin’ man, you thank you got me down…
hey, hey, porkpie lookin’ man, you thank i give a damn…

she realized in the noisy street, under the upturned sun, that she loved his little ditty and would love to have his son.
