this work came from some rather deep emotion. something disturbed me about this model and later i found the disruptions growing deeper and deeper as we did more work. i was curious about what was happening and i began to play with the image—pushing its color as far as i could as well as the contrast. i cropped it as close as i could…everything had to go to the edge just like the disturbance. then i saw it. i was responding to the very extreme of everything with the model. making the image was not only an artistic experiment. it was so powerful for me that i have begun a series to find what is internal but not always seen in the people i work with
