Scotlands Auld lang Syne...........

Scotland to me sets my soul free thinking of Lulu and shout!
A number one song in the charts.
This wee lassie captured our hearts
Scotland to me as I sip diet Irn brew
listening to Billy connolly all the way through
Proclaimers for me and the whisky galore
shouting for my team counting the score.

Searching for my family tartan in a shop in inverary
Trotting round the jail records, looking for grandma Mary.
The castles standing, history abound
Mull of Kintyre I never found
John Smiths grave and where he is laid on the Isle of iona
I stood there with respect, and could only stare
at a life that should have been there.

Odd fellows my favourite sweet. Tell my family its cry not greet that way in …..Englandl
Cry freedom and braveheart strong, as we enter Stirling it wissna long before we start to cry
Edingburgh castle and Oban Bay what a reminiscing day
as SCOTLANDS in my heart.

My mother father grandparents all, in this tartan land they had a ball
its in my blood as I have grown
inherit the smile of the Scottish throne
The queen of Scots, history in the making the Jocks and the Jacks
are never out rated..
Scottish streets are paved with gold as the personalities to unfold
Proud to be a Red Bubble Scot. Proud to hand down my heritage lot
Up the Scots and down the dales on winter nights listen to my tales
The tenements, their window of delight the rainbow curtains light up the nights

The land I left through limitations
hold in my heart the tartan vibrations
Scotland for ever more
Bagpipes are the score, the Thistle sways proud in all the land
as Flower of Scotland beats from the band
No silver spoon was I born with
but my Scottish heart i will share and give to you.

Grey fryers Bobby is a must as Edingburgh streets you walk around
The lone piper plays last lament as the sun goes down
Glenco Mountains welcome you all the ski lift of snow, offers its call
From ANDERSTON Quay to Helensburgh town we see the Scottish flag go down
The Scottish pound and five pound note
we rarely see one of…
the denomination celebration
of the land of love…

The singers the groups the regimental troops of colour play the bands
loch lomond calls to one an all, the monsters not at hame.
The border towns carlisle and such like
some do hitch hike some by bike.
I love you Scotland I live in England you were my hame
I will return again from whence I came.

Don’t want your whisky, but you have the best water in the world
Love all your mystery
As the History books unfurl.
From Mcenzies to Macintyres I love you all
To every one in Scotland..just have a ball
The gay Gordon dances to Andy williams
Listened to at New year by so many Millions

Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
And never brought to mind?
Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
For the sake of auld lang syne?

For auld lang syne, my dear,
For auld lang syne,
We’ll tak a cup of kindness yet,
For auld lang syne!
For auld lang syne, my dear,
For auld lang syne,
We’ll tak a cup of kindness yet,
For auld lang syne!
