An Ode To Shoaib…A candle in Red Bubbles wind….(Poem attached)
(Photograph is Buckingham Palace London Uk)
You are a candle in the wind of our times, many wake, to sleep within your rhymes
When lost they feel, their found in the meal-and banquet of your words……
That heal like wax to unfurl – free within liquid insecurities
You are a candle in the wind of many bubbles with so heavy troubles
Your dictionary of verse takes away the worse, of many painful heart….
that has embarked on similar pain- resonating with your Thesaurus,
your warrior within – that brings – words so humble. You think you mumble but we and they do listen to every word.
We all mess up in many ways some days were strong, when we feel we belong
others were lost inside wounded is our pride.
Some have lost some are hurt, some glow like diamonds, some feel like dirt
Your candle in others wind stream, turns their nightmares into dreams
Your comments on their works of art, turns their worlds into proud parts
They know if you have stopped to read their words of art, their soul to feed.
That light remains in their tunnel, for yet another day.
Enthusiasm you grant to them – to allow the pen to write again
The pen is mightier than the sword, not just to write when one is bored
So that eternal flame within your heart, that reminisces like coal-dust art,
must look within life’s mirror, glass clean and free of all self loathing.
We watch your flame burning strong, you melt our wax where we belong
the wind it dances within our flames, let’s us all waltz again
Within life’s ballroom take a hand,
the floor of life is gods command.
Whether solo or together we move
like artists palette, paint horses hooves.
We gallop on within different worlds
your thread of words help to unfurl-
emotions trapped deep inside….
so read these words and rise with pride, as the poets sword touches
RISE SIR SHOAIB, so much bolder.
You are the knight of RB now – for all to read and see
These were a few words about you from me.
Expressing respect and reverie………..
