In October 2013 I had a hemorrhagic stroke that caused paralysis in my right, dominant side, as well as apraxia, aphasia, and some cognitive and memory defects. I’ve worked left-handed since the stroke. Art has been a constant exercise in re-learning, dexterity and patience. Drawing and painting are forms of meditation. My techniques in realism are methodical and comforting. I’ve learned to use a computer as a tool; a new medium. I am always at study, always at work.
