Artist's Description

Folkloric or Folk art, is a form of art around in many countries. It is primitive in its simplicity, but that is the beauty of it. The colors work so well together, and that allows the story of the agricultural life in Nicaragua to be told. Agriculture is still on the top of the list for making a living, and the land is sacred for those reasons. I enjoyed making this art work. It reminded me of my childhood when my grandmother would take my brother and I to see the family farm named SAN. IGNACIO, after a saint. I hope you enjoy it as I did painting it. You may notice a line on the right side of the painting, this is because the shot of the art work was from a mural I did and that wall turned a corner. The picture shows a slight cast shadow, but it’s nothing to write this piece of artwork off for. Please enjoy.
