The fresco titled “Holy Sunday” is on the outside wall of the Church of the Annunciation, Crngrob, Slovenia and is one of the most priceless frescoes in Slovenia. Produced in the workshop of Johannes de Laibaco (John of Ljubjana) in 1460, it explains in pictures what good Christians do on Sunday (e.g. pray, go to Mass and help the sick), and what they do not do (gamble, drink, bowl or fight). Those who indulge in the latter activities are shown being swallowed whole by a demon. There are 47 examples in the fresco.

The first mention of the church dates to the late 13th century. In the 14th century it was expanded and after 1410 a southern arcade was built. In mid 15th century a third aisle was added and in 1551 the belfry tower was heightened. In 1661 the onion shaped dome and in 1858 a neogothic columned porch were added.
