Time Vanishes

Some of us Men still think like the Men from a golden age of love
and so to find the exquisite beauty beyond the door
and if you kissed me as you said
breathe deep my lovely and feel me there
running my fingers through your hair

and as the music man has said
each stroke, each note upon you there

I lay there in your presence
yet missing you instead

You are to far
and not so near
I stare out at the ocean
As far as I can see
No past is set in motion
No future can I see
Drifting to and fro
Each wave does set me free
Time sets still and all is gone
Yet it is you that I see with me
Each wave comes a crashing
And tries to set me free
Yet all of this splashing
Won’t wake me from my sleep

Drifting in the distance
The Sun it disappears
My mind as often happens
Somehow it reappears

Oh where have you gone
My love I miss you still
I stare out at the ocean
As far as I can see
The past is set in motion
And it is you I see with me
Sometimes poetry comes from the strangest place…people you think not serious or deep may surprise and the book is not like the cover and certainly not what it seems…the end, Marco F. Meyo
