Ballerina Girl

A young girl named Marina stood on the tip top of her toes and twirled. It was silent , just her, and her ballet shoes moving to the classical beat. Marina and her mind settled on the dance floor. She thought no one would disrupt her. As she was twirling the music stopped… she was scared some one had been watching her. Total silence. Slowly she turned around and saw the ballet director standing there. He was stunned at the amazement of her dancing. First she started as a… lets just say a very bad dancer. But as she grew older she studied the movement of her feet and the beet of the music. The director had been away for a few years and left with a terrible impression of Marina’s dancing. The director clapped Marina had a feeling of excitement inside. He said well done Marina! I always thought you didn’t have that much interest in ballet, by the way you used to be. Well, I have gotten a lot better she said. I see, I see he said. I was just thinking about entering you in the show case this month. Really! That would be wonderful! The director gave her forms to enter and left. Marina turned the music on and got right back on her feet. No one could stop her now she thought. She was so thrilled she was moving with excitement. All of a sudden she fell.
Tears filled her big brown eyes. She got up and hopped on one foot to her ballet bag. She turned on her phone and called her father to come pick her up. A few minutes later her dad arrived. He came rushing in. He said what happened! Marina just sighed and said take me to the doctor now. At the doctors office she waited for hours to get her foot checked on. Finally Dr.Donna walked in and said Marina Williams. Her father helped her get up and into the check up room. Dr. Donna said what seem to be the problem? We think her foot is sprained Mr. Williams said. Well lets see… thats definitely a broken foot you have there Marina. Marina said i cant have a broken foot my ballet director said i could be in the showcase this month. There will be another showcase next month her dad said. No not one for a scholarship. Marina was so devastated. She thought will her dreams of becoming a ballerina be ruined?
