Aloha (Hello in Hawaiian)

Makanahele means “from the wilderness” in the Hawaiian language.

It’s the name of the beautiful bird in my profile picture. We really do live in the heart of beautiful Kailua Hawaii, a place called Lanikai, not far from where President Obama vacations. Lanikai is a nice place to live as it’s famous for beautiful white sand beaches, calm clear ocean waters & friendly people.

Thank you for stopping by to see my designs. I hope you find something you like and decide to make it yours. Come back again, see what’s new— or track me down on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest — and say hello.

As a side note: I rescue abused, neglected, injured, unwanted and feral parrots. Every purchase you make, goes to help feed, house, and care for the parrots we rescue. Folks that know me, call me the Lanikai Bird Lady or The Parrot Lady of Lanikai. Check out the parrot club I’m associated with: The Hawaiian Feathered Friends Network.

Aloha and Mahalo (good bye and thank you in Hawaiian), until our paths cross again.
