Captured location: My Garden, Groenland Safari’s, Tolwe, Limpopo Province, SOUTH AFRICA
Featured in
Country Bumpkin
The World as we see or missed it

Large semi-deciduous tree to 30m; along rivers, swamps and pans, in arid bushveld.
General: The common name Fever Tree Acacia is derived from the tree’s association with rivers and swamps which are the breeding places for the malaria-carrying mosquito.
The bark are used as good luck charms, traditionally bark and powdered roots taken as an emetic for malaria.
The bark is also used as a malaria prophylactic.

The Fever tree is an attractive tree and is often used in the landscaping of gardens.
