Rain drops like glistening
Tears on a glass skin
Rainbows refracting in the light
Turning to blood
In the setting sun
Never-healing wounds
Heart stopping
Heart twisting
A tattered cloth
Inscribed with a
Blue blue song
In the moonlight
Stardust flickering off and on
In a code
Known only to
The mad
The desperate
The broken
Autumn leaves hiding
Yesterday’s bones
Covering them in a blanket
Made of a forgotten Spring
Notes twinkling in the fog
A sing-song faerie poem
Whispering of mysteries and
Old news about
The King and Queen
How they negligently lost
Their everlasting bond
Down a well of despair
Bottomless and dark as the
Very last night when the stars
Winked out one by one
Tendrils of sunlight
Reaching down through
Dew drenched branches
Floating dust motes
Highlighting the
Darkness within
Rain drops dripping
Shimmering like jewels
On a snake’s discarded skin.

Thank you so much Quinn. :-)
Sybille, this reads like a magical and mystical fairytale. I simply adore this piece for all its content, lovely word flow, beauty, style, grace and imagery. Great accompanied song and video. Have a beautiful weekend. Peace and love be with you always, Lisa =) XO
Thank you so much Lisa. I have to admit it was inspired by Midsummer’s Dream as much as the song… Whenever I think of the woods, it makes me think of Titania and Oberon… xo
