Centipede

Ewww! It send chills down my spine. I turned on the light, and it scared me. How many legs this thing has is beyond me. My heart felt like it was about to jump out from my chest and ran all over the house. It was brown, and ugly. Egad! It even has it’s own song.
When I found it was on the ceiling, it was bad. But when it was over my bed where I sleep, it was even worse. It might fall on me, crawling on me. I would scream as if somebody was trying to kill me.
I didn’t like it. Not one bit. I’m afraid to move. Because it might chase me. I don’t even want to know what it feels like. Even writing this poem would send my skin itching. While wild nature calls them centipedes, my family and I called them “long thangs”. Even the nick name gave me the creeps.
