Artist's Description

In Rabat, Morocco, next to the masoleum of Mohammed V lay the remains of what once was ment to become one of the biggest mosques in the Arab world.
Sultan Yacoub el Mansour started building the Hassan mosque in 1196, but after his demise in 1199 the project came to a halt. And an earthquake distroyed it all some 550 years later.
What you see on this picture is what is left today of the mosque-to-be. And the little girl doesn’t seem to care. She was driving her (motorized!) little car around, using the carhorn to get ignorant tourists out of the way.
