Cold Summer

It is the season of summer, yet it is cold;
Water seeps through my sneakers, and touches my toes.

The cold kisses on my bare hands,
I first thought was light rain was actually snow.

Longing to see the colours of summer,
I’m still searching for the lost rainbow

It is May; it is supposed summer here in Canada. But this morning, I stepped out and felt chilly, and ended up going back inside to grab my winter jacket. It rained yesterday, so the ground was wet. As I waited for my bus, I thought the ‘raindrops’ looked rather… light. And I woke-up from my daydreaming to realize it was actually snowing!

We have had snow and comp temps over the past week. It is warmer this week but still on the chilly side. I need some sunshine. ♥
