Mid-October, and a strong nor-easter is blowing up over the North Atlantic off the tiny village of Peggy’s Cove, Nova Scotia, Canada. Sunlight still glows on the granite rocks which have withstood everything since the last glaciers passed this way about 10,000 years ago.
