We could have never asked for a better day to cruise Lake Maligne, in Jasper National Park, Alberta, Canada. We had every variety of sky, clouds, sunshine and shadow, and because of the winds at the higher elevations, things changed almost as fast as we could take photos.
These are a range of the Rocky Mountains, which a few minutes earlier had been in bright sunshine, but a sudden roll of black clouds changed everything except the sun still caught the sides of the peaks and put a shine on the turquoise water.
