Artist's Description

This is No. 5 of a short series of 5 photos which I took at the bottom of the Athabasca River Gorge, in Jasper National Park, Alberta Canada. The Athabasca Falls are one of the most spectacular waterfalls in the National Park system because of the sheer volume of water, and for the gorge which the river has carved out of the rockbed over the millenia. To get to where those photos were taken, one must climb down a series of 59 steps through sheer rock walls and around hairpin turns to the place where the gorge walls and the river can be seen. There is very little space to try to get different angles,so this shot is the best I could get to try to have a little different perspective.
