Artist's Description

This semi-decayed material over many centuries formed the peat bogs. These bogs are now an important asset to the community and turf is still used as a main supply of fuel for heating. Turf is cut from May on or earlier weather permitting! The sods are left to dry for several weeks and then are footed – built into stacks to dry completely.
Camera Nikon D40
