M.V. Palanpur is the cargo carrier Lift ship that carried the ‘City of Adelaide’ oldest wooden clipper passenger & cargo ship (lashed to her deck) that sailed from the U,K, to Australia in the Golden Age of Sail, docked at berth 18, Port Adelaide.

The badly neglected ship on a slipway in Scotland where she was built has been renamed by Prince Charles and allowed to come home to ‘Adelaide’ the City she helped to build in the late 19th century. It has taken 13 years to ready her for the long trip to where she will be renovated and the Adelaide & south Australian public will be able to go aboard to ‘Feel’ what it was like to travel aboard such a ship thousands of miles over the seas.
